More Summer Events than Ever
Ikaalinen Spa & Resort Expands Its Summer Event Line-Up – In Addition to a Three-Day Festival and Lakeside Concerts, a Juice Musical Premiere
Summer 2025 brings an even more diverse event offering to Ikaalinen Spa & Resort. The highly popular Kesäehtoo Festival expands to three full days, running Friday to Sunday, 13th–15th June. On Sunday, the festival wraps up with a lakeside concert by Haloo Helsinki!, and the final day is family-friendly and alcohol-free. Other summer highlights include a brand-new event tent at the lakeside “Liveranta” stage, where guests can enjoy outstanding live performances – plus the premiere of a major music theatre production: Juice Leskinen – Musta aurinko nousee.
Kick Off the Summer in Full Festival Style
Now in its third year, Kesäehtoo Festival brings some of Finland’s biggest music stars to the stage once again: Haloo Helsinki!, Portion Boys, Kaija Koo, Bess, Erika Vikman, Popeda, Kake Randelin, Anna Eriksson, Neon 2 and Lumottu Apina. Perhaps the most scenic festival beach in Pirkanmaa will once again show its full charm – and as always, visitors will enjoy the comfort and quality of a full-service spa hotel alongside the music. Accommodation has sold out in advance every year, so those hoping to stay overnight should act fast. VIP tickets are also selling quickly.
Atmosphere by the Water – Summer at Liveranta
After Midsummer, a stylish tent venue will rise by the lake to host a summer concert series in weatherproof comfort. Guests can expect proper seating and of course, quality refreshments. Confirmed performers include Suvi Teräsniska, Kaseva, Egotrippi, Samuli Edelmann, Diandra ja Jarkko Ahola. The concert series will culminate in a rock-themed Heviranta weekend with performances by Stratovariusta, Kotiteollisuutta and Arionia.
Juice Leskinen – Musta aurinko nousee Musical
A highlight of the season is the premiere of a musical based on the life and music of the legendary Juice Leskinen. The show, titled Musta aurinko nousee (Black Sun Rising), is inspired by two earlier scripts by Heikki Vihinen, who also directs the production. The title role will be played by Otto Kanerva, who has previously brought the cult figure of Juice to life with acclaim. The performance promises a deeply emotional and powerful journey through Leskinen’s complex personality and greatest hits.
