Winter Sauna Carnival
Dozens of saunas, thousands of steam sessions. The Winter Sauna Carnival brings an unprecedented collection of mobile saunas from all across Finland to Ikaalinen Spa & Resort. In addition, at Sauna World Utu, you can relax throughout the entire weekend while enjoying immersive Aufguss rituals.
Spend the day exploring the heat and atmosphere of dozens of unique saunas, while unwinding in the warmth of the spa. As night falls, the atmosphere intensifies when the evening celebrations begin and continue until the early hours of the morning. Experience the most anticipated event of the winter, bringing sauna lovers together to enjoy community spirit and pure relaxation. Visitors will also have the chance to vote for the best sauna, so explore, experience, and discover your personal favorite!

Arrival & what to bring
Come and enjoy an unforgettable Winter Sauna Carnival at Ikaalinen Spa & Resort! Address: Huvilatie 2, 39500 Ikaalinen. Ticket purchases and wristband exchange take place at the ticket desk in the lobby of the main building at Ikaalinen Spa & Resort. The carnival area begins at our Water Tropic spa section, where you will find exhibitors, possible rental equipment, changing rooms, showers, and the main entrance to the Carnival Area through the gates of Sauna World UTU.
We recommend bringing a small bag for your personal belongings. Make sure you have everything you need, such as your phone to capture memorable moments and a payment method for refreshments at the licensed serving areas. You may also want to bring a sauna hat if you’d like to fully immerse yourself in the carnival atmosphere. Lockable lockers are available in the changing rooms, but in limited numbers. Please take care of your valuables while moving around the sauna area.

Dress code & rentals
At the Winter Sauna Carnival, clothing should be casual and practical! We recommend swimwear, a towel, a bathrobe, and flip-flops or winter swimming shoes for moving around the spa and outdoor areas. Please follow all safety guidelines when using the ice swimming area.
Bathrobes, towels, sandals, and seat covers are also available for rent from our spa for a small fee. Please note that rental items are available in limited quantities. With these essentials, you’ll be ready to enjoy the warmth of the saunas and the refreshing winter chill safely and in style!
Program
In addition to the program below, the area will feature horse-drawn transport, an ice swimming hole, refreshments for sale including juice and sausages, as well as licensed alcohol service at the Smoke Sauna.
Admission to the outdoor area is free. Entry to the sauna event itself is only with a wristband.
