Arrival and Departure at the Hotel
Rooms are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival. The room will be held until 18:00 on the day of arrival unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking. Rooms must be vacated by 12:00 on the day of departure. Late check-out may be requested from the hotel reception.
Daily Rate (Modify or Cancel Free of Charge) excluding Lakeside Suites and AuroraHut
Room bookings may be cancelled free of charge until 18:00 on the day before arrival. If the booking is not cancelled and the guest fails to arrive, the hotel is entitled to charge one night's stay as well as any additional services related to the reservation (e.g., DaySpa treatments) and a billing surcharge of 10 €.
Flexible Rate (Early Booking Benefit: Booking can be modified but not cancelled
The booking must be made at least 8 days before arrival. The booking cannot be cancelled, but it can be moved to another date. Changes must be made no later than 18:00 on the day before arrival. A change can be made once. Rooms will be held until 18:00 on the day of arrival unless a later arrival time has been agreed separately.
Saver Rate (Booking cannot be modified or cancelled
The booking must be made at least 14 days before arrival and is payable at the time of booking. Prepaid rooms cannot be modified or cancelled, and no refunds are issued. A limited number of rooms are available at this rate per day.
Campaign and Special Offer Booking
Bookings must be paid at the time of reservation. Cancellation fees are 100 %, or the booking can be transferred to another date (maximum 6 months ahead). If the new date is more expensive at the time of booking, the difference will be charged to the customer. Different campaigns may have specific terms, so please check the specific conditions before booking. Cancellation terms are also included in the booking confirmation.
BLACK FRIDAY AND CYBER MONDAY CAMPAIGNS 2024
The booking must be paid at the time of reservation. Cancellation fees are 100 %, and bookings cannot be transferred. Discounts apply only to 1–2 person stays; extra beds are charged at the normal rate. Accommodation must occur within the dates specified in the offer. A limited number of rooms are available at the promotional price, and the offer applies only to new individual bookings. Cannot be combined with other discounts or offers. Reservations must be made through the BF or CM online store.
Events
Bookings must be made at least 8 days before the event and paid upon reservation. Bookings cannot be cancelled, but they can be transferred to another date. Rooms are held until 18:00 on the day of arrival unless otherwise agreed. Changes must be made at least 7 days before arrival (maximum 6 months ahead). Changes can be made once. If the new date is more expensive at the time of booking, the difference will be charged to the customer.
Festival Periods (Kesäehtoo, Venetsialaiset) and Christmas
For advance payments (2025 Kesäehtoo 85 €/person, 2024 Venetsialaiset 60 €/person, 2024 Christmas 50 €/person), a payment link will be sent after booking, and payment must be completed within 3–7 days. Advance payments are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another date. For festival period balances, a payment link will be sent approximately 2 months before the event; failure to pay will result in cancellation. After payment, cancellation fees are 100 %, or the booking may be transferred once to another date (maximum 6 months ahead). If the new date is more expensive, the difference will be charged to the customer.
Cancellation Due to Special Circumstances
If cancellation is due to serious illness, serious accident, death, or another unexpected serious event affecting the guest or a close relative, the booking may be cancelled free of charge. A medical certificate is required. The hotel reserves the right to deduct an administration fee (15€) from the refundable amount.
Price Changes
The hotel reserves the right to change prices if such changes are based on legislation or alterations to public charges determined by authorities. We also reserve the right to adjust prices if the reservation details change (dates, duration, number of guests, facilities, etc.).
Gift Cards
Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, and their validity period cannot be extended. Accommodation must take place within the validity period of the gift card.
Hotel’s Right to Cancel the Reservation
In the event of force majeure (e.g., water damage or a general pandemic), the hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation. In such cases, the customer is entitled to a full refund of all payments made.
Event Tickets
After booking event tickets, a payment link will be sent, and payment must be made within one week. Event tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another event. However, tickets may be transferred to another person.
Guest Responsibilities and Liabilities
Guests must complete a registration card carefully upon check-in for official purposes. The reservation contact person must be of legal age. A minor may stay at Ikaalinen Spa only when accompanied by at least one responsible adult or with written parental consent.
Guests must comply with hotel rules and any instructions or regulations issued by authorities during their stay.
The hotel guest (or ultimately the reservation contact person) is responsible for any damage caused to the hotel or third parties. The guest must compensate for any movable property they intentionally or negligently damage or unlawfully remove from the hotel premises.
If you notice any deficiencies or damage in your room, please inform the reception immediately upon arrival so we can correct the situation. The hotel is not obliged to compensate for complaints made after the stay.
Early Departure
If the booking is made for a specific period and the guest departs earlier, they must pay the agreed price for the unused nights. If the accommodation offer is based on a group rate for two or more people sharing a room or apartment and one member cancels, the hotel has the right to charge a reasonable supplement. All members of the group are jointly responsible for paying the additional charges.
Extra beds and travel cots
The price for an extra bed in all accommodation categories is €35/adult/night and €25/child/night (ages 4–14).
The price of a travel cot/extra bed for children (ages 0–4) is €15/child/night. Please book a travel cot/extra bed for children under 4 years old through our sales service. Otherwise, a child under 4 years old may stay free of charge in the same bed with an adult.
