OKTOBERFEST 2025

Oktoberfest – A No-Nonsense Celebration of Food and Drink

The Oktoberfest tradition began with a royal wedding over 200 years ago, but for the past century the focus has been simple: eat, drink, sing and be merry! No pomp, no excuses – just pure enjoyment. With its big beers and hearty servings, this iconic German festivity is a perfect match for Finnish tastes, and a cheerful break from autumn routines.

At Ikaalinen Spa & Resort, we’re bringing the celebration back again this year – join us on 26 September 2025!

Last year’s event sold out, so grab your tickets via lippu.fi or contact us directly to reserve a table for your group or company!

"The beer flowed, tables full of food, dancing, and drinking songs echoing through the night."

Oktoberfest has its roots in Munich, Germany. Held from late September into early October, this two-week festival draws millions of visitors. It’s famous for its beer, sausages, traditional German dress – and drinking songs everyone somehow knows. You’ll find all of these at our very own Oktoberfest celebrations, too.

Hearty Fare

Though salads are available too – including German potato salad – it’s the meat that steals the show at Oktoberfest. At our previous events, the menu have featured spit-roasted pork, whole roasted chicken, and of course sausages: bratwurst, pork-parmesan sausage and traditional blood sausage. Naturally, no plate was complete without sauerkraut, pickles and our house mustard.

From the bread counter, you’ll find baguettes, pretzels and flammkuchen-style pizza – all staples of the Oktoberfest table.

You can find this year’s Oktoberfest menu in finnish at our Oktoberfest-page

Beer – But Not Just Beer

Oktoberfest is known as a harvest-time beer celebration, but other traditional German drinks have always been part of the festivities too. At our event, there’s plenty on offer for wine lovers and schnapps fans alike.

Ask in advance about drink tickets for larger groups, or simply order your favourites on the spot. Drinks are not included in the ticket price or buffet.
