Ikaalinen Spa Keeps Evolving – New Usva Sauna World and Strategic Partnership

Ikaalinen Spa & Resort has been steadily developing its services for four years now – and the work continues. This summer, a completely new and experiential sauna world will open, offering our guests even more opportunities for wellbeing and relaxation. At the same time, renovations continue at the WoW apartments located in a separate hotel building. These apartments have also been available for private ownership, and sales are now being strengthened through a partnership with the real estate agency Neliöt Liikkuu LKV.
A New Sauna Experience: Usva Opens This Summer
Ikaalinen Spa & Resort is expanding its wellbeing offering with a completely new sauna world – bringing the latest elements of international sauna culture to Finland. Built around a heated outdoor pool, the experience offers guests atmospheric sauna sessions all year round. Visitors can enjoy time in the saunas, on the terrace area and in the water, surrounded by nature.
“We want to offer something truly new – an experiential sauna concept that adds a unique layer to the spa holiday experience. It blends international sauna traditions with Finnish closeness to nature in every season. The sauna world will feature three different types of saunas, combining tradition with modern wellness elements. The low-temperature Salt Sauna uses steam and salt particles to refresh the skin and support respiratory health. The Tropical Multi-Sensory Sauna surrounds guests with nature-inspired scents, birdsong and the sound of flowing water. The centrepiece is the rotating-theme Aufguss Seasons Sauna, where scents, steam rituals and ambience change throughout the year. The Aufguss ritual – led by a sauna master – is especially popular in Central Europe and offers a 10–15 minute multisensory experience.
WoW Apartment Renovations Continue – Now in Partnership with Neliöt Liikkuu
The separate hotel building on the spa grounds has been undergoing phased renovations since early 2023. Customer feedback has been excellent, with praise for the renewed apartments’ spaciousness, private terraces, comfort and modern design. All units will be fully renovated by the end of 2026.
In addition to being available as hotel rooms, the updated WoW apartments can also be purchased as holiday ownership shares. To strengthen this sales model, Ikaalinen Spa & Resort has entered into a strategic partnership with Neliöt Liikkuu LKV.
